Christina OBanion Lou Sirard PHI/105 July 22, 2009 Argument and Logic Augustine on paragon and Time Augustines views ar that things moderate happened in history move only be things that atomic number 18 in our minds, things that are present are only honest because we can see them, and things that are going to happen in the future are only our expectations of what will happen. With this belief Augustine believes that God only exists within sequence. Augustine is using his logic to come up with a guess as to why God determined to create the world in the cartridge holder that he did and non at some other cartridge clip. This lead him to wonder what barely is time and how did it become to exist. By wondering about these questions he had to look into Christianity. He states that forwards God created us on that point was no time. What led him to this theory of no time existed out front we were created, proficient because in that location was no history before our existence. The arguments strength is that it is a good theory as to how time did become to exist if not for us. But just because there is no coexistence before us does not mean that time was not in existence.

If time did not exist thusly how was God able to become and exist whether it was on earth, in heaven, or in the past without time? The weakness of this theory is that the past exists not in our minds but in event due to documented reports written and kept safe just so we can have a history on this planet that God created. We remember things that happened to us the day before or maybe even years before and these are now in the past. They are memories but they are also facts because they did happen to us. We can counterchange the future by subsisting our lives and getting more education to better our lives, so how can the future just be our expectations when we are able to change how events happen.
