McDonalds
Introduction:
Brothers, Dick and Mac McDonald started a small, but made restaurant in San Bernardino, California. They produced a limited identity card consisting of righteous burgers, fries and beverages, allowing them to focus on quality at either step. Ray Kroc was impressed and inspired by the effectiveness of their operation. He wanted to open McDonalds restaurants all over the united States. In 1955, Kroc founded the McDonalds Corporation and five years afterwards bought the exclusive rights to the McDonalds name. By 1958, the restaurant had sold its speed of light millionth hamburger.
It is obvious Kroc fulfilled his dream. Today McDonalds serves 68 million customers a day in its 33,000 stores in 119 countries. Kroc imbed up the company primarily as a franchisor business. He believed in the goal of everyone working for themselves with McDonalds. Now the McDonalds is considered a premier franchising company with over 80% of the restaurants owned and operated by franchisees.
Products Offered:
Of course McDonalds sells BigMacs, Quarter Pounders, French hot up and Cokes. But with a growing concern for obesity, they have broadened their carte to include salads, wraps, apple slices and yogurt. The launch of McCafe added signature coffees and smoothies to the wide roll of menu choices.
And because McDonalds is a global corporation, they tailor their menu in different countries to reflect regional tastes. For example, in India they do not eat beef, their big seller is the McCurry Pan.
