Competition at the Next aim
It was a humid summer morning and I was data track on three hours of sleep. I could hear the sizzling of the cover melting on the pan: my mother was making move eggs and toast, my favorite breakfast. I devoured my delicious breakfast and started to run about the house snatching different articles of clothing and shoving them into my suitcase. I was design to Logan Airport to venture to Memphis, Tennessee. The security guards frisked me as if I was a fugitive and finally let me through the gate. The hairs on my cope were standing and I couldnt calm the un mickletling feeling in my gut. It was my first time ever flying on a plane. At least I had the company of my teammates and coaches. Memphis was the location that they were belongings the yearly National Basketball Tournament, and our team had been selected to represent Massachusetts. We were young, determined, and overconfident young boys approaching this opportunity with the intentions of winning every game, because thats what we were accustomed to. For myself, this will forever be a journey, and an escort that has opened my eyes to how competitive athletics can be across the country.
Everything that took place throughout this eventful weekend work me as an athlete, as a teammate, and as a soul too.
The aircraft had landed and all of my teammates and I were so eager to set foot in Memphis. I had visions of what the city would look like, solely it had surpassed everything in my imagination. We were roughly twenty minutes away from our Hotel: I could smell the marinated pulled pork sandwiches and the tender barbecue spareribs position to fall off the bone. I dashed into the hotel as if it was my aver home and sprinted up flights of stairs to pack to the room. The mattress felt as if I was lying on a cloud, probably because the plethora of sheets and pillows on it.
