HAMLET
In Shakespears crossroads the thinker of felo-de-se represent the cornerstone of the play. Shakespear showes the moral, apparitional and esthetic aspects of this idea in the famous felo-de-se soliloquies. Through these soliloquies Hamlet showed the postulate surrounded by his religious believes and the fear of the uncertainty that is keeping him from approaching the idea of suicide on one pot, and on the other distribute the deep desire of ending his life due to the attendant calamities falling upon him. The conflict within hamlet resulted in the puissant language expressing his struggle in the two famous suicide soliloquies. The conflict within Hamlet was due to the severity of the calamities on one hand and the his sense of moral religious flavour with the fear of the unknown on the other hand. This continuous struggle between these thoughts is what kept him from killing himself even though he had the means, the will and the motive to commit suicide.
In the first soliloquy-act 1,scene 2 Hamlet is wishing to end of his life: O, that this in any case too solid flesh would melt thaw and resolve itself into dew!. Hamlet expressing his disappointment from the entire life by stating that only severe things thrive in this world.
The latest events in Hamlets life interchangeable the death of his father and the fast marriage between his stupefy and uncle have led him to the state of continuous depression and mourning. The major disappointment was due to the quick marriage between his breed and uncle which undermined his view of the worthiness of living and enduring calamities of this world for no reason. Hamlet expresses these feelings towards his mother in a brief fourth dimension: frailty, Thy name is woman!. Till this point the idea of suicide is discussed from religious view mainly as Hamlet all the way states that the only thing keeping him from suicide are his religious believes.
