I have grown up in a diverse environment. Although my father came from other country my parents met in the United States, where I began my life. It wasn’t until I turned a year old that my parents decided to break to Brazil where my father’s family still resided. I don’t recall much of the ways of life in Brazil, except for the climate, but I did pick up on the phrase of Portuguese. I was four years old when my family go back to the United States. We moved to a tiny diminutive suburb in upstate New York where my mother was raised, spending the remaining years of my childhood there. I was soon machinate to attend kindergarten and since being in Brazil the only language I knew was Portuguese, my grandmother decided to teach me English, her understanding of the positioning was because I was in America I needed to bash the English language.



Throughout my childhood my parents did non continue with the imprimatur language in the home, therefore I do not know this language any longer. “Through our developmental experiences with the amicable institutions of society such as families, education, religion, culture, workplaces, etc., we learn what are considered pleasurable and unacceptable behaviors” (Harvey & Allard, 2009).
